There's plenty of more serious works out that that are considered terrible and much worse than something which is primarily comedic or fun. I don't believe that just because a story is more dramatic, has a more complex plot, and doesn't use cheesy lines, that makes it better or more enjoyable than something less complex, light, fun, and hammy.

"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?" Angel guys take too long to kill with Osiris' nerfed damage output, Demon guys are just no fun to fight with Arbiter's lousy moveset. I also really hate those enemies that are only vulnerable to one of the other weapon types. The chainsaw guys certainly seemed dangerous at first, until it hit me how easy it was to play keep away, or just drag them into the air. I also have to say that it still feels like there are too few ground enemies at a time, especially given how large the environments are. On So S mode, the enemies can block High Time or the Demon Pull, but it's trivial to break it with Arbiter. It's trivial to get out of enemy anti-air range, and once you're up there, only the crappy controls can bring you down.

There's really not a whole lot to do except spam the same combos over and over, so it gets pretty dull after a while. But fighting them also revealed to me one of the systems' biggest problems: your move set is severely nerfed in the air. In fact, I dare say they're the only ones where the "aerial combat" pans out because they can actually put up a fight while airborne. Okay, played all of Under Watch level on Sons of Sparda, and I have to admit, the only enemy that gave me any trouble were those new flying ones.
